the valuable five
Only five to free agency for this 2013. One was the ex-Dolphins linebacker. Second, a person who had played 36 games with 189 receptions, 20 touchdowns while averaging 15.3 yards per catch and collecting 128 first downs. Third, future Hall of Fame safety who can still play and would be an outstanding addition to a few teams trying to get over the top. Fourth, a person who stay remains an outstanding backup candidate. Last, who has last three seasons he has tackles, 39 sacks, and 11 forced fumbles.
Former Indianapolis Colts star pass rusher Dwight Freeney says either Giants or Jets would be a great fit for him
If the Giants or Jets want to sign a free agent pass-rusher, former Colt Dwight Freeney is ready to listen.
Freeney, who was released by Indianapolis earlier this month, said on SiriusXM Radio that he hopes to sign with a contender.
And he openly professed that he would love the idea of suiting up for one of New York’s teams. In fact, Freeney said, he thinks Rex Ryan is “a great guy.”
“I actually know Rex,” he said. “I met him a few times. Rex knows how to free guys up. That would be a good fit.
Giants re-sign CB Terrell Thomas
“At this point, I don’t care if they move me to kicker,” Thomas said today. “I just want to play football.”
Thomas’ eagerness is understandable. He has not played in a regular-season game since Jan. 2, 2011, the final game of the 2010 season. Thomas missed the entire 2011 and 2012 seasons after tearing his right anterior cruciate ligament.
But he will have an opportunity to return to the field in 2012. The Giants announced today that Thomas has signed a new contract for the upcoming season.
