 | Decision time closer for Broncos' Marshall |
By The Denver Post Quietly, uneventfully, time ticks on what may be Brandon Marshall's final days as a Bronco.
The gifted but trouble-prone receiver is a restricted free agent whose opportunity for receiving an offer sheet from another team expires next Thursday.
If the offer sheet process expires, the Broncos could open trade talks with other clubs. Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll confirmed his team's interest in Marshall during the NFC coaches' breakfast March 24 at Orlando, Fla.
The question is whether that interest transforms into an acquisition of Marshall between now and April 22, when the NFL conducts the first round of its draft, and when many deals involving high-profile players often occur.
Marshall has not signed the $2.512 million salary tender he received from the Broncos on March 3. Like so many other restricted free agents around the league, Marshall has skipped the team's voluntary offseason conditioning program.
